[color=#42a6c6][size=3]Shireen Abu Akleh Training Program for Palestinian Broadcasters and Journalists[/size][/color] [color=#42a6c6][size=2]Introduction[/size][/color] [color=#000000][size=2]United Nations is inviting applications for the 2023 Shireen Abu Akleh Training Programme for Palestinian Broadcasters and Journalists (formerly known as the annual training program for Palestinian broadcasters and journalists).[/size][/color] [color=#000000][size=2]As part of the special information program, mandated by the United Nations General Assembly, the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC) organizes the annual Shireen Abu Akleh Training Programme for Palestinian Broadcasters and Journalists. The program aims to provide hands-on skills training on media related topics as well as expose the selected journalists to the work of the United Nations, with particular attention to its various activities and programs affecting the lives of the people in the region.[/size][/color] [color=#000000][size=2]This program is usually held in November/ December. Exact dates and format will be confirmed in due course.[/size][/color] [color=#000000][size=2]The training program is coordinated by the Palestine Unit of the Peace and Security Section, which is located in the Campaigns and Country Offices Division (CCOD) of DGC.
